As I’m scrolling through, I’m realizing more and more that I am the old one here.
I started getting into The X-Files when I was 15. When it was still being aired with new episodes. I watched the series finale with my best friend Gina. The day of our high school graduation, I wrote “Fight the Future” on the top of my hat.
I had little in the way of strong female influences in my life. Scully was the driving reason behind me going to college and majoring in criminal justice. I don’t know where I’d be today, if it hadn’t been for her.
I’m almost 30. I’ve got my own family, a child, a good job. And not one day goes by that I don’t think about Mulder and Scully in some form. And it thrills me to get on tumblr and see you guys, 16, 18, early 20 year olds - loving the show just as much as I do.
The X-Files knows no age. It is, as it always has been, a show that will live forever. Rock on, and thank you for keeping the fandom alive and well.
xoxo,
Mary
Someone posted an X-Files video, with key moments from every season, with piano music in the background and it was UNBELIEVABLE.
I can’t find it, and I can’t explain more than that, and I know that description sucks because there are fifty million videos like that out there. But this one was special, and I am so sad that I didn’t bookmark it.
Help!
From “Tesos de Bichos” where the cats are trying to claw through the door……. I’m losing it over here with laughter.
